Amidst
Amidst the gloomy seas of life
Sleeping silently on the ocean floor
Lies a hope
Sleeping silently on the ocean floor
Near the skies
The wretched surface toils
Restless thunder
Laughs at the seas, torn asunder
Doomed to failure
Until the creature
Love
Sleeping silently on the ocean floor
Awakes to slumber never more
Until then misery taunts the poor
And Hatred
Smiles malevolently at my door
Laughing
Crying
So oxymoron
Tired of this confusing life
Tossing away the slim glittering knife
I shudder and turn
From the cold kiss of death
Yet I’m wrapped up in his soft embrace
Sinking away from sanity
Looking death straight in the face
Forgive me my weakness
But I don’t know why
I still don’t want to die
But I won’t struggle anymore
Frozen
Immobile
I know I should cry
But all I can do is think of your lie
