Facing Reality

Facing reality brings tears to my eyes
Sometimes I go insane
I cry myself to sleep at night
My pillow hears my pain
I’m jealous of the world
Why does everything go their way?
Why can’t I be the perfect one
And have just one nice day?
Does anyone care I’m hurting
Can’t anyone see my voice?
I just want to be heard
But I can’t speak above the noise
I guess it’s good to be different
People should like who I am
But if no one can hear me
At least my teddy can!
