Perfect azure canvas brushed with wispy clouds
Is the background for this solemn portrait painted in sadness
Lavender and white mums amidst purple daisies
Adorn the coldness of grey steel
Gleaming in the midday sun
Circumstances cheated me of a final glance of rigid beautiness
Fading already, his face drifts off to misty corridors of my mind
Simply black and white no intermediate shades of memory
Place of honour is my life forfeited to his selfish pleasure
Now haunting silent void
Her only legacy left to me we were worlds apart
But always I remember, he liked purple...
