You don’t remember the dreams that newly shattered at my feet
The hopes for the future in a single heap
You don’t remember the good times shared
All those happy times when I really thought you cared
You don’t remember all the laughter and fun
The moments we shared as though we were one
You don’t remember that awesome all-engulfing love
That was kissed by angels and blessed from above
Because you don’t remember, my heart no longer screams
From the silent loneliness of those shattered dreams
