Tepui

Ancient, implacable, wonderous beast --
the world moves on while his progress has ceased.
The last remnants of all that used to be,
the proudest and strongest sight one could see.
Waters assault and the winds blow away --
he stands and resists, has nothing to say.
The jungles rise up, they try to subdue --
he remains high for Creation to view.
Respect Tepui, much more than a hill,
he stands for power by unyielding will.
